PMD Sales Training & Consulting Uses Website Video to Connect with Prospects

Challenge

Prior to working with Yes! MediaWorks, PMD Sales Training and Consulting had a well-organized, highly-professional website. But a large component of PMD's service is face-to-face interaction, and information presented via text on their website wasn't enough to convey who they are and how they're different.

Video is important "so people could see the person behind the messaging approach, and understand how what I do could integrate into their organization," said Peter Dennis, PMD's president and CEO.

Video can also create a perception of professionalism and depth. "The perception issue is important," said Peter. "As companies are vetting sales consulting organizations... the impact and feeling they get in the first 60 to 90 seconds can make or break an opportunity." Good use of video on a website can mean that a company "may actually look bigger" than the competition.

Results

Yes! MediaWorks videotaped Peter during a four-hour presentation he gave to an audience of about 75 members of Corridor Nine Chamber of Commerce. From those four hours, we extracted six short clips. We added a branded opening & ending, and embedded the clips on the PMD website.

The video assets Yes! MediaWorks created for PMD are successfully communicating what's unique about the company and its services. "It's very important for people to understand what they're getting, and video opened that to an incredible degree," said Peter.

Thought PMD is based in Westborough, Massachusetts, PMD has been contacted by companies from several other states. One connection in particular was from the CEO of a company in Tennessee who saw the videos and felt Peter and PMD would be a very good match for his needs - as a direct result of watching the videos.
